Tyler Whitnall

Children’s TV presenter, wildlife adventurer and conservationist.

Film work

Tyler presents One Zoo Three and OZT Goes Wild in Britain (CBBC) alongside his brothers Aaron and Cam - programmes which have captivated young audiences and ignited a passion for wildlife conservation. In the shows, the brothers take viewers on exciting adventures, showcasing the incredible work good zoos do and the beauty of the natural world.

Tyler has also appeared on Blue Peter, The One Show, Saturday Mash Up and Newsround, as well as Heart Radio, and the Stories, Science & Secrets podcast, among others.

Theatre

In October 2023, Tyler appeared with his brothers in a live show at The Spotlight Theatre in Hoddesdon. They used film footage and imagery to explain what it’s like to share their home with over 800 different animals, including lions, tigers, and snow leopards.

Conservation

Tyler’s dedication and tireless efforts in wildlife conservation have made him a respected figure in the zoological industry. By running family wildlife charities, supporting conservation projects worldwide, and hosting educational TV series, he is actively shaping a brighter future for both animals and humans. Tyler's goal is to inspire the younger generation to become passionate advocates for the environment, ensuring the preservation of our planet for generations to come.

Hertfordshire Zoo and The Big Cat Sanctuary

In addition to his work as a presenter, Tyler helps run his families two wildlife charities in the UK. At Hertfordshire Zoo, one of the family wildlife charities, Tyler is one of the directors and works closely with a dedicated team to provide a safe and enriching environment for animals. The park serves as an educational hub, allowing visitors to learn about wildlife conservation and the importance of biodiversity. Tyler's hands-on involvement ensures that the park remains a beacon of hope for endangered species.

Similarly, The Big Cat Sanctuary, another of the families wildlife charities, where Tyler is a trustee, focuses on the protection and preservation of big cat species. Through this sanctuary, Tyler and the team strive to raise awareness about the challenges faced by these majestic animals and promote conservation efforts on a global scale.

Adventure

Tyler has a real love for adventure and enjoys taking on challenges. A recent fundraising initiative saw Aaron and his brothers travelling across East Africa, highlighting conservation issues and raising money for the first ever animal ambulance to be sent to Uganda. Since it arrived, it has aided the rescue of over 300 animals. Tyler has also trekked to Everest base camp, completed a 24-peak challenge, and run the London Marathon.
