Ness Knight

Presenter, explorer and adventurer

Ness Knight is an explorer who has completed a diverse collection of expeditions in extreme environments around the globe. Growing up in Africa she developed a strong bond with the rich culture as well as the wildlife around her and its fragile balance, which drives her determination to work with people, nature and conservation efforts today.

Ness has been filming and exploring in extraordinary locations, from the wilds of Southern Africa to the pristine jungles of Costa Rica. She has investigated the illicit rhino horn trade, capturing the stories of those with boots on the frontline fighting the poaching war, and tracked the most elusive and endangered species on the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica, a place known as the most biodiversity intense location in the planet. She has spent extensive time in a remote corner of Namibia, immersed in intensive survival and primitive skills training with the San Bushmen, the most ancient civilisation on the planet. In April 2018 she successfully completed a world first ‘source to sea’ descent of the Essquibo River in Guyana.

Ness specialises in carrying everything she needs to survive and thrive in some of the most hostile and extraordinary environments on earth, learning survival skills from tribes and walking alongside some of the most iconic wildlife.
