Naomi Wilkinson

Children’s TV presenter and performer

Naomi is one of the UK's best known children's TV presenters, recognised for her bubbly, energetic persona, and daredevil attitude. She has hosted a variety of programmes for both children and adults, covering nature, adventure, factual entertainment, arts, and music.

She presented and produced the live Channel 5 kids show Milkshake! for an impressive 10 years – which showcased her script writing, choreographic and compositional abilities.

One of CBBC's top talents, Naomi recently co-presented a Deadly Mission Shark Live Lesson alongside Steve Backshall.

She presented four series of Naomi's Nightmares of Nature and co-presented Marrying Mum & Dad for seven series; Wild & Weird; Live 'n' Deadly; WILD!; Blue Peter; All Over The Place, Sport/Comic Relief Does Glee Club and Princess Mirror-Belle.

Away from children’s TV, Naomi has co-presented BBC1’s Countryfile, and appeared on BBC Breakfast, This Morning, and Good Morning Britain to comment on issues relating to nature and the environment. She’s also taken part in popular game shows such as BBC One’s Pointless Celebrities and ITV’s The Chase.

Naomi has voiced several animated characters including Miss Cookie in the popular pre-school series Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom (Channel 5).

Awards

Naomi won an award in the Best Children’s category at the RTS Awards for Nightmares of Nature (CBBC) and was twice nominated for Best Presenter at the prestigious Children’s BAFTA Awards.

Speaking

Naomi has hosted a wide range of live events and award ceremonies for organisations including BAFTA, the Royal Television Society, Wildscreen, and BBC Young Dancer.

A popular choice for audiences interested in the environment, conservation, and nature, Naomi has spoken at numerous schools, as well as Chester / London Zoos, the Connections Festival and Wakefield’s Festival of the Earth, to name a few.

Dance

Naomi loves to dance. She has a First-Class Dance Teaching Diploma from London College of Dance and, as a qualified fitness instructor, she teaches regularly at gyms. She is currently producing, choreographing and presenting a series called Let’s Move for BBC Teach that aims to support primary teachers with dance lessons.

Music

Naomi’s is passionate about music, and has hosted films, numerous concerts, and live events - including three BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, most recently in 2023.

She is also involved with the BBC initiative Ten Pieces, which introduces classical music to young people, and presents BBC Bitesize Music Lessons on CBBC.

Theatre

Naomi has starred in many pantomimes and completed national theatre tours with Milkshake! and her own 'Wild & Scary' show.

Interests

Naomi has been an ambassador for the Young People’s Trust for the Environment for 20 years. For four years Naomi has hosted Surfer’s Against Sewage’s ‘Pupil Power Assembly’ as well as fronting films for their ‘Plastic Free Schools’ campaign.

She also supports several other environmental and children's charities, including the RSPB, Place2Be, The Woodland Trust, GOSH, The Climate Coalition and Surfer’s against Sewage.
