Lizzie Daly’s new series, Deep Dive Australia, premiered in Canada on Sunday 3 December, and is coming soon to Love Nature platforms worldwide.
In it, Lizzie embarks on an epic road trip from the cold water shores of South Australia, to the tropical reefs of northern Queensland and the wild currents of Western Australia.
After a sell-out run in Spring 2022, Professor Alice Roberts is returning to theatres across the UK in Spring 2024 to launch her new book, Crypt. This final instalment of her highly-acclaimed trilogy explores the experience of life, death and disease in the Middle Ages and beyond.
Alice looks at the archaeological evidence for terrible brutality directed at an ethnic minority in medieval England, she explores the impact of incurable epidemics sweeping through Europe and looks at how modern science is unlocking secrets from the watery grave of the Mary Rose shipwreck. She also reveals how archaeogenetic research is uncovering cryptic clues and shedding new light on diseases such as leprosy, syphilis and the plague.

Steve Backshall will soon return to screens as he explores the incredible world of our oceans in Whale with Steve Backshall coming to Sky Nature and NOW on Sunday 3 December 2023.
Following the success of Sky Nature’s Shark with Steve Backshall, this brand-new, four-part series follows Steve as he free dives with whales and dolphins, getting closer than ever before, providing the audience the opportunity to witness rarely seen behaviours from these extraordinary mammals.
Michaela Strachan is returning to our screens this week, with the Autumnwatch team, when they join forces with The One Show to bring audiences their much-loved nature fix.
Appearing on Tuesday 24, Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 October, the nature series will showcase a season rich with colour and vibrant activity.

The iconic American television news programme 60 minutes (CBS) recently profiled Lucy’s work as a best-selling author, public speaker and zoologist. They asked Lucy what this elusive animal can teach us? “We can learn how to be more slow and sustainable ourselves”, explained Lucy, “because we need to. We're destroying this planet at an alarming rate, partly because of our addiction to speed and convenience. If we took a few carefully, slowly, digested leaves out of the sloth's book, we might save this beautiful planet and the amazing creatures that live on it.”
Almost 1,000 students were entranced by an ‘inspirational talk from top engineer’ Professor George, when she spoke at High Tunstall College of Science’s annual STEM event.
She provided a great insight into electronic education education, and spoke about her experience working within NASA and for the European Space Agency.

In ‘Swimming in Sewage: Britain’s Water Scandal’, Michaela Strachan travels around the country to meet campaigners determined to save our rivers from pollution. Our rivers are precious habitats and vital ecosystems, important for wildlife and humans alike, but all this is at risk because sewage is pumped into rivers from storm overflow pipes. An important and highly topical production by Turquoise TV.
Congratulations to Vianet Djenguet who was awarded ‘Onscreen Personality’ at the 2023 Jackson Wild Media Awards for his role in ‘Silverback’, an Off The Fence production for BBC. This feature-length documentary follows Vianet as he joins the effort to protect the critically endangered eastern lowland gorillas of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
‘Silverback’ also won the highly prestigious 2023 Grand Teton Award and the People & Nature, Long Form Award.
The new series of Richard Osman’s House of Games will feature Alice Roberts. The first episode will air this evening, Monday 25 September, on BBC Two at 6pm.
