In this very special event, Gordon will be talking about his passion for big cats and sharing some of his remarkable stories working and living alongside his favourite feline friends.

Fascinated by all wildlife, Gordon had a chance encounter back in 1998 which lead to him spending seven weeks filming tigers in India. Tigers lead to Lions, Lions lead to Leopards, Leopards lead to pumas, and so it went on. Over the years and around the globe, Gordon has filmed many wildly different animals, but cats are the one group he always comes back to. From learning about their hunting techniques and studying the family cat since he was a boy, Gordon will talk through the trials and tribulations of filming cats, the highs and the lows, his frustration at their notorious laziness and his amazement at their incredible bursts of speed, power and undisputed beauty.

Close shaves and scary encounters are best avoided. For Gordon however, following big cats over the decades has led to more than a few… Like the time an insurance company suspended his life cover for 48 hours while he tracked down a pride of lions with a history of man-eating and the time when he literally came face to face with five leopards in the dead of night. Worryingly the list goes on!

This is the ultimate intimate experience with the wildlife expert who The Daily Telegraph has described as one of David Attenborough’s most likely successors.

Please note the event will initially be broadcast on January 7th 2021 at 20:00 hrs UK time (GMT). It will be available to view up to 48 hours after the event has ended and can be accessed Worldwide.
