
Vianet is a charismatic award-winning wildlife presenter and cameraman. He is known for his immersive storytelling and powerful visuals and has extensive experience filming across the globe for major international broadcasters.
Film Work
Vianet’s most recent work The Wild Ones (Apple TV, Offspring Films) premiered in July 2025. The six-part documentary series follows Vianet and a team of wildlife experts, as they travel the globe to find and help protect six endangered species.
Vianet recently co-presented the first series of Big Cat 24/7 alongside Anna Dimitriadis and Gordon Buchanan. The series launched on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer in August 2024.
Silverback (Off The Fence, BBC Two) is Vianet’s landmark, award-winning feature-length documentary, which follows a troop of Western Lowland Gorillas through the Congo jungle. The programme is now available on BBC iPlayer.
Previous filming credentials include The Last Unicorn, Baby Chimp Rescue, Animal Babies: First Year on Earth and The Natural World: My Congo (BBC Two). For the filming of My Congo (BBC Two and PBS), Vianet returned to his homeland to share its wild beauty with global audiences.
Vianet has also presented two films for The One Show (BBC One) about British birds: Kingfishers in Yorkshire and Cuckoos in Somerset.
Awards
In 2023, Vianet was awarded ‘Onscreen Personality’ at the Jackson Wild Media Awards for his role in Silverback. In 2018, Vianet won the Presenter Award at Wildscreen, and in 2017 he received the ‘On Screen Talent’ award at the Royal Television Society Awards for The Natural World: My Congo.

Vianet has extensive experience working in some of the world’s most remote and hostile environments, from tropical and equatorial jungles to swamps, deserts, mountainous regions, and tropical islands.
Vianet has filmed in Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, France, Gabon, Indonesia, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Morocco, Republic of Congo, Réunion, Rwanda, Senegal, Uganda, UK, and the USA.
Conservation and Interests
Vianet is a passionate conservationist, supporting projects that empower indigenous communities and protect vulnerable wildlife. With a rare blend of technical expertise, language abilities (fluency in English and French), and a natural on-screen presence, Vianet continues to bring untold stories of nature to life.
Vianet supports a number of charities which work with indigenous people, disadvantaged communities, endangered wildlife, human-wildlife conflict, and orphanages.
Education and Background
Vianet holds a BA (Hons) in Film and Moving Image Production. He is experienced using the latest 4K and 8K camera technology and holds a PfCO Drone Pilot Licence.
