
Chris Hull is a passionate landscape gardener, horticulturalist, and TV presenter, best known for his award-winning designs and vibrant on-screen presence. A familiar face on BBC One’s Garden Rescue, Chris combines deep horticultural expertise with a heartfelt belief in the power of gardens to transform lives—creatively, emotionally, and environmentally.

Chris Hull is an award-winning landscape designer and BBC One Garden Rescue presenter.
With four series under his belt and spectacular gardens designed and built for indebted families across the UK, Chris achieved critical acclaim, winning Gold at the prestigious RHS Chelsea Flower Show, 2024. As well as appearing on RHS Chelsea Flower Show (BBC Two), Chris makes regular appearances as a garden expert on Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh (ITV) and has appeared on The One Show (BBC One). Chris has also appeared on Morning Live (BBC One) to speak on mental health; this was as part of his campaign with charity Rethink Mental Illness, for whom he is a proud ambassador.

Speaking and Interests
Alongside an enduring passion for environment and wildlife, with first-hand experience of complex mental health within the family, Chris feels strongly about what can be done to better the lives of those affected by severe mental health illness. In fact, much of Chris’ creativity stems from his belief that the immersive quality of gardens and wild spaces can have a phenomenally positive effect on mental wellbeing. Chris holds the belief that people should be at the heart of each garden project.

Background
With a background in Ecology and Conservation, a BSc in Garden Design, extensive horticultural knowledge, and vast practical landscaping experience, Chris commits to creating gardens that are not only visually striking, but wildly beneficial to the surrounding environment and wildlife. Chris’ work aims to include bespoke features, unique construction methods, and most importantly, sustainable materials. With over 16 years’ experience working on high end residential, public realm and community-based projects across both the UK and abroad, Chris is now owner of landscaping company, Greenbook Landscape Design.
Awards
Alongside co-designer Sid Hill, Chris won Gold at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2024 with his extraordinary ‘Microbiome Garden’. Chris has also won the Pro Landscaper’s 30 Under 30 Award and has had work feature in both Pro Landscaper magazine and Dream Garden magazine.
