Veterinary Surgeon
Having first appeared on television when the BBC documented his progression from Vets School to Vets in Practice and Vets in the Wild, Steve is now firmly established as a popular wildlife presenter. BBC series include: Steve Leonard’s Ultimate Killers, Steve Leonard’s Extreme Animals, Animal Camera and Journey of Life. 2006 credits included Jaws in Britain and the popular Incredible Animal Journeys.
Spring 2007 he filmed the wonderful 5 part BBC series Orangutan Diaries in Borneo and there are rumours of a second series next year. In November 2007, he heads off to the hottest place on earth to film a documentary for the BBC: Hell on Earth (Lion Television).
Steve is also a popular speaker and this year he is delivering a series of talks as part of the Royal Geographical Society’s ‘Wild Geography’ series entitled 'Right Place, Right Time'. As always, Steve continues to run his veterinary practice with his brother Tom.
