Charles Rangeley-Wilson
Fisherman, TV Presenter, Writer & Photographer

Charles is an accomplished author and the face of fishing on TV. His vast experience in the ecology of rivers, streams and countryside, all over the world, combined with his enthusiasm for their protection make him a knowledgeable and engaging speaker for a range of wildlife and environmental events.

Charles is about to embark on another major series for the BBC and previously presented the BBC2 series The Accidental Angler – inspired by his own experiences and book Somewhere Else. He published a book to accompany the series and has published numerous articles in a wide range of newspapers and magazines including The Times, The Daily Telegraph, The Independent, The Observer and The Guardian about his experiences on the trail of weird and wonderful fish in awe-inspiring landscapes. These tales make entertaining and fascinating after-dinner talks and engaging and informative educational presentations.

As fishing correspondent for The Field magazine (for which he has won the PPA ‘feature writer of the year’ award) and contributor to the USA’s Gray’s Sporting Journal, Charles is constantly communicating his experiences and ideas. He is currently investigating the surprising resilience of nature against the destruction of our wild rivers for a new book, as well as for inspiring future talks and presentations.
