Mark is currently giving lecture tours across the UK and continuing with his photographic wildlife tours.
Mark’s recent TV work includes the six-part BBC2 series Last Chance to See (2009), which he co-presented alongside Stephen Fry. This was followed by the Last Chance to See Special Report: Rhino Rescue and The Great American Oil Spill . In addition to his TV work, Mark also gave a series of ‘Last Chance to See’ lectures throughout the country.
Mark also co-presented BBC2’s Museum of Life (2010) and regularly reports for Countryfile, Inside Out and, most recently, The One Show.
A well-known radio broadcaster, Mark presented the weekly half-hour radio show Nature on BBC Radio 4 for many years as well as providing the daily ‘Environment News’ bulletin for Steve Wright in the Afternoon, on BBC Radio 1.
As a gifted writer Mark has published over 50 books, and for many years wrote monthly columns for BBC Wildlife and Wanderlust magazine. His widely acclaimed photography is used throughout the world, and for the fifth year running he will chair the panel for the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition. Mark has been voted as one of the world’s most influential conservationists - another attribute on his growing list of achievements.
