Jamie Crawford
Wildlife and adventure Presenter, Photographer, Producer and Writer
Ever since he set off to walk England’s coast-to-coast aged 14, Jamie has been exploring our planet, traveling and working in some 40 countries as a scruffy backpacker, then a Reuters news correspondent, a travel writer and now a regular TV face.
Jamie has recently appeared on "The Alan Titchmarsh Show" for ITV.
Jamie is best known for “The One Show”, on BBC 1. He’s the show’s on-screen photography expert but increasingly as a trained journalist he covers everything from history to gung-ho adventure.
Jamie leads a truly multi-media career. Alongside his on-screen work and photography, he’s a successful producer, director and script-writer for shows like “Mayday Mayday” for ITV, “I Shouldn’t Be Alive” for Animal Planet and National Geographic’s “Seconds from Disaster”.
His presenting career began with the BAFTA-winning wildlife series “Michaela’s Wild Challenge” on Five before fronting his own extreme environment series “In Too Deep” for Animal Planet, which earned him a Best Presenter nomination at the annual wildlife film Panda awards.
He has a first class degree in languages, is a Latin America expert and speaks bilingual Spanish, fluent French, Italian and now – after directing a documentary series on Asian transsexuals - a smidgen of Thai!
