As a leading primate conservationist, Julie’s recent TV work includes Living with Monkeys: Tales from the Treetops - a major series filmed by the BBC with Indus Films. Other TV work includes a six-part wildlife documentary series for BBC Scotland, Scotland the Wild.
With a PhD in Biological Antropology, Julie has spent all her working life abroad, working primarily for primate conservation projects - as a project manager in the fields of primate welfare, research development, forest surveying, conservation planning and community education. She ran a gibbon rehabilitation project in Thailand, and a coastal forest and primate conservation project in Southern Kenya. Julie also has experience in working with marine conservation projects, large-mammal surveys, and primate & elephant translocations in East Africa.
