Jamie Crawford
TV Presenter, Journalist & Travel Writer
Jamie is currently filming a brand new series for CBBC - Wild About Art.
Having begun his TV career working on BAFTA award-winning Michaela’s Wild Challenge, Jamie appears regularly on our screens as a presenter on BBC1’s popular The One Show.
Jamie’s TV credits include the BBC’s Inside Out, Discovery’s Discovery Rewind and Animal Planet’s In Too Deep; a series which earned him a nomination for best presenter at the 2008 Wildscreen wildlife film festival.
Away from the camera, Jamie works as a freelance writer and photographer for BBC Wildlife Magazine and the Guardian, to name but a few. He produces and develops documentary series, speaks three languages and plays the drums. He originally studied languages and Latin America at university, and then worked as a Reuters journalist in London and Rome. From there he moved into travel writing and spent a year travelling in, writing about, and photographing South Africa for the Greenwood Guides. But as a keen naturalist, and former trekking and field guide, it wasn’t long before he found his way into nature, wildlife and factual television.
